Background:    John has authored numerous articles on authentication, reproduction and fraud. Over one hundred articles have appeared in: The Ohio Archaeologist, Central States Archaeological Journal, The Redskin, Prehistoric Artifacts of North America, Artifacts, Prehistoric Antiquities Quarterly, and Prehistoric American.

American Artifacts was first to publish a book on the subject of frauds and reproductions. Entitled American Indian Artifacts, genuine or reproduction; this 304 page book features authentic bannerstones, gorgets, birdstones, pipes, pottery, axes and flint projectiles as compared to similar reproductions and frauds.

John is highly respected for Authentication services. His specialty is bannerstones, pipes, birdstones, gorgets, discoidals, etc. plus flint from the Ohio Valley and the midwest.
