We are currently in the process of listing heavily on
eBay and plan to put a lot more on for sale as well.
Right now we're in more of a time constraint due to
excavating 2 Mastodon.
These are all pics of when we just got them back and
started cleaning them off.
Great looking and intact lower jaw with both juvenile
teeth along with the permanent in the jaw ready to move
forward. The 3rd pic is the top of the skull.
Misc. trays, tubs and boxes of bones yet to be sorted.
First pic shows some of the ribs that go to this one.
A few of the larger bones where there are the sockets
for the legs, like the 2nd on in a plastic garbage can
where the socket is right where the picture of it cuts
off. Shows how large some of these are, and how
well preserved. the second rows has a box with a
lot more rib bones as well as other things, and the last
pics show some of the large and fine vertebrae.
They came out intact as well, as most things did.
Above are just a few pics from excavating the two
Mastodon. More and detailed pics will come later
as we get further, and are just really tied down at the
moment with the excavation as well as treating the
bones. One so far looks to be pretty much intact,
including the lower jaw which we were very careful to
get it out in one piece. Both of these are
juveniles, and the one intact jaw has both juvenile
teeth on each side with the permanent caps in place
behind them where they are ready to come in. These
bones were very well preserved where you just didn't
have the deterioration on the bones that you many times
do. We are thinking of selling the one that has
been mostly excavated already beings, we have another
yet to get as it stands right now. If you may be
